GRAVEYARD RECORDS

Graveyard Records originally based outta New Orleans, La but due to some unfortunate events, was later relocated to Houston,Tx. Where new rapping sensation "JAY" burst onto the secene.

 Graveyard Records was founded by Rick "Rickey Boy" Gilmore. A New Orleans native, that took a dream of being a world renouned CEO of a major record label into a reality.  When Rick was asked why he named his label Graveyard, he responded by sayin "its because we  are from what is known as the murder capitol so the name seemed to just fit" Thus the infamous Graveyard Records was born.

The first rapper signed to this quickly expanding label  "JAY" was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on January 08, in year 1989. The elementary school he attended was Johnson C. Lockett, and then as he went onto middle school which he then attended Edward D. Livingston, which was then he found the inspiration for music at the age of thirteen. Other New Olreans based rappers such as Lil Wyne and Juvenile was his inspiration for music . JAY then attended Fredrick A. Douglas High. His experience with music was at the age of thirteen, in year 2002, he was signed to Graveyard Records, he then later became president of the label. JAY follows his favorite type of music and that is rapping. He also enjoys listening to rock. JAY'S biggest dream is to go Diamond. JAY was asked a couple of questions from our interviewer and this is how he replied: He was asked who he could relate himself to? “Nobody, cause nobody can be me, I can only be me.”  This is only the begining for Graveyard, who knows what the future holds.

 What role does your family play in your further success? " Well I'm a real family orientated type dude, so i guess my family keeps me grounded"

   Jay says that he wants to bring the rap game back to its original form, "These boys these days got the game twisted, imma bring the truth. Not that I'm hatin on anybody or nothin its just they got alot of one hit wonders and trust me you wont have to worry about that from me, cuz i'm bringing hit after hit."

Jay's debut album hasnt set a release date yet but be looking for it soon in stores  everywhere The beast has been releashed watch out for he comin at cha!
